I ran across an interesting article yesterday about the booming economy in Vernal, Utah, and how it might effect the local Vernal real estate market.

For those of you who aren’t aware, the Vernal, Utah real estate market is right in the middle of the Uintah Basin, where oil companies are looking to boost our economy with new oil finds.

In the article, it says:

“The U.S. has enough oil shale to provide all our country’s needs for 100 years,”

I was surprised to learn that much of this shale oil is located in Vernal, Utah, which is adding to the interest in the local Vernal real estate market.

Vernal is hot right now, there are a lot of real estate investors who are showing interest in properties, and, despite our national real estate slump, Vernal is actually in a real estate boom
